Chapter ( 17 )

On the third day of the hospitality , I asked permission to leave from Cleopatra . she provided us with two battalions and two squadrons . Atlanta, the mermaid and I set off on a chariot with two horses , Cleopatra gave us .

Two thousand and two hundred soldiers , well equipped with sharp weapons marched towards the place of Poseidon. when we reached , we found a large fortified castle . It was very strong castle . They drop on us big stones and hot liquid of asphalt and burning arrows . Cleopatra’s soldiers made an iron floor on their heads by the armored shields .

Afterwards , they climbed the castle by long wooden ladders they brought with them . there was a fierce fight between the Egyptian soldiers and the Poseidon’s soldiers on top of the castle . There were a lot of casualties from the side of the two parties . Before the battle, I stood in front of the soldiers mounting an Arabic black horse . I delivered an enthusiastic speech :

- ” You great soldiers , you are Egyptians , you descend from the builders of the pyramids .You have never been defeated before .all the invaders who came to conquer you turned to be Egyptians because , on living here , they adored your country , and the authenticity of the people.

They were charmed by the Nile and your rich fertile lands . You were the first civilisation of the world .you stood before the barbarian Mogul who swept away all the world , so , the world owes to you its existence , you are the grandfathers of Salah El Din , who fought the crusaders and liberated the Mosque of Al Aqsa .your grandsons would fight them for a thousand years.

“You , Egyptian soldiers would fight till the doomsday because you are the best soldiers on earth, as prophet Muhammad said . Just before the doomsday , you would liberate the Mosque of Al Aqsa, the Arabs your brothers don’t evaluate you right well. They asked the Americans to protect them they should have asked you and nobody else . It is well known that , the Arabs, now , can’t fight well , only you ; the Egyptians can fight , because you are stamped by the seal of Muhammad ; the Messenger who said ; ”Egypt is the holder of the arrows of Allah on earth” , that is to say , we are the store of weapons of Allah on earth . You soldiers , go bring the diamond of our king of the Nile ; emblem of our pride and our honor , and peace be upon you”.

This speech made the soldiers ready to sacrifice their lives for the glory of their country .Atlanta and the mermaid was fighting fiercely . I remembered the technique of war I learned when I was in the Egyptian army , I applied it on the battle . I advised their leader to shoot heavily of their arrows provided with fire  .  It was like artillery now , to pave the way by hell of fire from the cannons . Then , scores of soldiers may proceed , after that another scores may follow . In fact , we found a strong resistance from the part of Poseidon ‘s soldiers . Eventually , it was getting dark and we got very tired .

We came back to our camp to have a little rest and to cure our wounded soldiers and to bury our casualties . Atlanta and the mermaid were helping and comforting the soldiers . When the mermaid came at last , I asked her,

- sweetie ,can I ask you a favor ?

- What is it ?

- Can you bring me Fathia ?

- Why ?

- I missed her very much . I’m living here alone .

- But you have me and Atlanta .

- You are not human beings , I missed the company of a human being .

- Why don’t you ask for Leila ?

- Leila has a husband , children and a family , she has a broad life, but Fathia is lonely in life .

- Who do you love best ?

- Both , I love Fathia in a way and I love Leila in a way .

- OK , I’ll bring you Fathia , you'll have it first thing in the morning .

- Can’t you bring her now ?

- No , even the jinni of king Suleiman couldn’t bring queen of Sheba right away .

- Who brought the throne of Sheba at a glance ?

- The man who had science of the Book .

-What is it ?

- That man asked Allah by Muhammad the Messenger , – who would come to the Arab in a particular time in the history – to bring the throne of Sheba at a glance .

- What power was it? I asked

- The power of the faith of Allah and of the Messenger Muhammad .

- How did you know all about that ?

- We read that in Al Quran , we jinnis , once went to Muhammad and listened to the recitation of Muhammad to Quran . They astonished at its eloquence and admired it and came back to our folk and told them about Islam , we are muslims ever since .

- Why , then , other people aren’t muslims ? I wondered .

- Because they didn’t read it .

-  OK don’t waste time , please go and fetch Fathia .

- Who will sleep with you , then ?

- Fathia , of course .

- Why ?

- Because I , really missed her .

- Alright ,alright , I’ll bring her and Atlanta and I will serve her.

- Thank you ,

- Don’t mention , Salam.

I went to bed , to sleep , really I was exhausted , but when I remember Fathia , I feel happy , then I remember the war , blood , fire and casualties , I got sad , afterwards , I remembered Fathia , I was pleased again . If Fathia comes ,she'll sustain me , she'll help me to stand all the hardships I face now . I dreamt of Fathia , I had wonderful memories with Fathia .When I woke in the morning , I felt warm kisses on my cheeks and my lips . When I opened my eyes I saw Fathia before me , I hardly believe myself .

- You are Fathia ?

- yes, I’m ,

- You aren’t synthetic ?

- No , I’m flesh and blood .

- You aren’t jinni ?

- God forbid , I’m human being .

- if so , welcome Fathia . look , I lost weight , touch me , I couldn’t eat well , I kept thinking of you , you were always in my mind , not only in my mind , in my blood ,

Just then , some soldiers came and declared that their leader was killed , and they choose me to be their leader .

- We built you a den , a headquarter to run the battle , the chief soldier said .

- But I’m not efficient enough .

- You were great yesterday . You made a lot of tactics and maneuvers.

- Yes,

It is a great responsibility I’m scared to accept it , but so long Fathia with me , it is alright , anyway , it is her luck that I should be nominated as the chief – in – command .

- Who brought you here ? Fathia asked again .

- Forget about it , Fathia , Didn’t I tell you that I’ll live with you the rest of my life .?

- You'll live here with me on the bottom of the sea .

- Not for long Fathia ,when we finish our mission I’ll tell you about , we’ll go up to live on the ground again .

- Let’s hope so , Fathia , my love , you are most welcome , then I saw Atlanta coming , she was not normal .

- Salam Atlanta , this is Fathia .

- I’m pleased to see you Fathia .

- Oh , Fathia is really beautiful . I didn’t think you have such beauty in Egypt .

- The soldiers are angry , because some of them are originally Iraqi, some Yemeni , there are Syrians too . they said they could fight as much as the Egyptians .

- No the Iraqi soldiers are biscuits , the Americans conquered them and occupied their land in a week or two , although the American soldiers are like white chickens , they die of heat or a buff .

- some of Iraqi soldiers were paid off , they cheated Saddam Hussein, don’t forget that the Egyptian  army was beaten in six hours in 1976 by Israel .

- Because Nasser was a tyrant , he did a lot of injustice , besides the soldiers were double- crossed , they were told to retreat and they didn’t use to retreat , they were trained to go forward and get victorious , and we got victorious over Israel in 6 hours , too ,in 1973, we had our retaliation .

- What about the Syrians ? Atlanta asked .

- They couldn’t know how to fight , El Golan was occupied in a day or two , besides , they didn’t show any resistance there ,as if there were a secret accord between them and Israel . You can’t depend on them . As for the Yemeni they couldn’t fight a handful of El Hothians , they fought them six times and they never defeated them. They made a truce now and then negotiations and then , they will resume fighting each other again .

- Don’t you admit any power except the Egyptians .

- Yes,

- What else , you commander, do you suggest for peace to prevail in the Middle East ?.

- As matter of fact , there are some swollen focuses which they must be terminated .

- What are they ?

- Assad in Syria , he is good for nothing , he goes with Iran , as well as Hamas , the Hothians , in Yemen , and Hezbollah in Lebanon , all are Shiite and they cause a lot of disturbances .

- What do you mean ?

- I mean , America , Europe and Israel should terminate them, so that the Middle East may rest in peace .

- What about Israel ? Atlanta asked.

- The Israeli respect their word , there is a peace convention between Egypt and Israel . There is a balance in power. The Egyptians co operate with Israel . We export to them natural gas with more than ten billion dollars .

- What about Afghanistan ?

- Afghanistan , again , it is a headache to the whole world . The Americans and the Nato are mistaken by going there , first of all , they couldn’t know how to fight , then , the nature of the land is mountainous and very bumpy, besides , they are fighting gorillas, not organized army ,

Furthermore , they could have built for them roads , hospitals , schools and factories to solve the problem of unemployment . They could have turned them to be civilized as they did to the Japanese and the German after the second world war . The problem is that the Americans and the Europeans are arrogant , they don’t want to respect them ; neither their customs nor their traditions . They spend too much money on the soldiers and their military equipments, why couldn’t they spend only part of their horrible money on Afghanistan’s substructure and make them a respectable country . They should pay their taxation to them, it is a legal money , the Afghans shared in defeating the Soviet Union, on those days they were called the Mujahideen, now they are called the terrorists , how ironical ! I thought Obama was a wise man , but to my disappointment , he did the same stupid mistakes of George Bush . He sent more soldiers to Afghanistan . I think Obama does not rule America ; but, the generals of the military weapons and oil industries do .

-And Obama said he was sorry he couldn’t solve the problem of Israel and Palestinians , Atlanta commented .

- He won’t , and nobody will , because Israel will be there in Palestine till , the doomsday . That what is written in the Quran , in the chapter of Al Israa , ( the escalation of Muhammad ; the Messenger to Heaven to meet Allah ) they are a fact , we shouldn’t afraid of them . They respect the power , they respect the Egyptian Army , they respect Omar Suleiman and president Mubarak .

- What about the Arabs ? Fathia asked .

- Oh , well done, Fathia , you are interested in politics now .

- It is thanks to you , you are my instructor , I used to listen to you carefully .

- The rulers and the kings are scared of their peoples, although they want to look courageous and patriotic , but in fact , they bury their heads in sand like the ostrich . Forget about this , Atlanta , we have a war to wage , we have to attack and we have to defend ourselves. I think we need a back up from Alexander the Great , if you could go to Alexander and negotiate with him to send us some of his army , he has a special troops , they have spears , seven meters long . they fought Darius of the Persians and collapsed their empire.

- As a matter of fact , Alexander collapsed many empires, Atlanta commented .

- Before you go to Alexander, you have to check the priests of the temple of Amon in the western desert of Egypt first ; to ask them how to deal with Alexander .

- Oh, please , I’d like to go with you Atlanta to see Alexander and to thank him . I worked in Alexandria and got a lot of money . Isn’t Alexandria his city ? inquired Fathia innocently .

- No , Fathia , you stay with me , because I know , if you go there and Alexander sets his eyes on you , he’ll ask to marry you at once , then , I’ll lose the flavor of this world , I won’t achieve the mission of the missing diamond , and I won’t take part in the war , like Achilles, in the Trojan war, when he refused to take part in the war , because he wanted a woman the Greek refused to give .

- Oh , Fathia , please stay here with us , we like you here . You are very kind Fathia , we hardly have any human beings here , please stay . said the mermaid .

- OK. I won’t go , I’m staying with you , and with my sweetheart .

- Thank you Fathia , my creamy .

I summoned my commanders to convene in my den . We discussed what we should do . one of the commanders suggested to dig a tunnel under the castle , to attack them from within . I approved the idea and asked every commander to vote , they all approved the idea of digging a tunnel . I gave him orders to take with him a hundred soldiers , with their tools of digging , and another hundred to cover them  . One battalion will fight while the other will take a rest , later the other will take their turn to fight the enemy till we get a back up from Alexander .

- What if we don’t get any back up ? One of the commanders asked .

- We depend on ourselves and our Allah, we were told in history that there were few soldiers who could defeat the most in numbers.

In fact , I remembered the leaders of the Arabs , in the very beginning of Islam , like Khalid Ibn El Walid , El Zobeir Ebn El Awam , Obieda Ebn El Garah and Ali Ibn Abu Talib and others . One of them is equal an army , one of them is a nation . Khalid and his army pulled down both the Roman empire and the Persian empire . Who knows about him in the world now ?  . The west don’t want to admit that he was better than Alexander the Great or Julius Caesar or Napoleon , may be they want to forget that he destroyed their great civilisation to let the opportunity to appear the newborn civilisation of the Arabs they want to pull down now . How could a nation of Bedouins and shepherds could destroy two empires .What power did they have ? What culture and education did they get ? they were fighting with the weapons of their enemies , yet they put up the biggest empire in the world and propagated Islam in the whole world and it is still propagating in the world .

Nobody wants to make a film for them , to glorify their heroism , courage , faith , and subtlety in wars and peace and wisdom .All  the world media neglect them on purpose , just to show the whole world we are  barbarians or terrorists .

When I was thinking of our past glory , one of the soldiers came carrying a big box .

- Yes sir , I found this box , - it contains gold , jewels and diamonds,- , while I was digging in the tunnel .

- Oh , how brilliant ! how glittering ! I want to get some , said Fathia. She couldn’t believe her eyes .

- No, Fathia , we’ll bring it back to Cleopatra ; our queen , it doesn’t belong to us .

- Then , we’ll defeat the enemy , my love , said the mermaid .

- Yes, mermaid , please , will you ask the soldier who found it to go to Cleopatra to hand the box .

- No, sir I won’t go , because Cleopatra will know me and will give me a reward , and I want only a reward from Allah .

- I thought , we are going to be rich , murmured Fathia .

- Yes, Fathia , I’m rich because I have you , you are my real treasure .

Fathia was so pleased that she kissed me at once , she didn’t care about the people around .one of the general came ,

-The soldiers of Poseidon are fighting fiercely , they are using weapons we didn’t see before .

- Be patient and standstill , the backup will arrive soon and the soldiers are doing well in the digging . Fathia , will you , please make a cup of tea for me ?

- Do you have tea and sugar .

- yes , I asked the mermaid to bring a lot of tea, coffee and sugar , when she went to get you here , by the way Fathia , how things are going in Egypt ?

- Fine , only Elbaradei is coming back and the young men want to receive him at the airport . He made a Committee for Change of 76, 77 - terms of the constitution – and to cancel the Emergency Act.

I think the others who are in office should be cautious , they are probably exposed to dismissal from their posts , particularly , El Fiqi , Badrawi , and Ali El din Helal ; they are members in the parliament and the National Party  . They said something incongruous to the government , as for Nazif; the prime minister, he is playing the role of Blair to Bush .

- Idon’t understand , anyway, Ibrahim Suleiman ; the ex- minister of Housing ; the member of the parliament in our area ; El Gamaleya  was investigated by the attorney general , because , when he was in office ; gave a lot of lands to his family and some businessmen in return for low prices .

- Fathia , you are from Gamaliya ,did you ever see Ibrahim Suleiman coming to Gamaliya ? or did he do any service to anyone in Gamaliya ?

- No, he didn’t .

- Where did you get this news from ?

- A lot of people gossip , yes , I remembered something else , one of the ex- princesses of the ex- king of Egypt ‘ Farouk , they were celebrating their father’s birthday at his graveyard in Al Rifa’e mosque , most of his family were buried there . Anyway, the princess wanted to set up a party to defend the Alawite Family , she hopes many people will join their party .

- That is very good , may my prophecy came true and the grandsons of King Farouk may come back to rule Egypt again ,

- Who knows ? Fathia said , contemplating for a while by the way what is the future of the opposition in Egypt ? asked Fathia again .

- In short , they are dancing with the wolves .

In the evening , while I was thinking in the operations of the war one of the soldiers excused from the guards and got into the headquarter.

- Sir , can you give me a permission to recite some praising poetry that will be said about Muhammad the Messenger so that a victory may be accomplished because of the blessing of Him .

- Yes, soldier , go ahead .

My eyes hasn’t seen better than you ,

The women haven’t born your compeer ,

You ‘ve been created without any fault ,

As if you have been born as you wished .

Another poet said ;

Muhammad is the lord of the two worlds ,

And the two teams of the Arabs and the foreigners,

You can add to his affiliation whatever honor and,

Add to his appreciation whatever greatness ,

It is known that he is a human being , but ,

He is the best of the creatures ever seen .

- Well done soldier , thank you very much , please go to where you are .

No sooner had he said this than the tidings , the news traveled fast, we knew that the backup of Alexander army arrived , and one of the soldiers of the digging came to announce that they managed to reach the center of the castle from within . iIt was a horrible fight , indescribable blood and causalities , parts of organs were flying in the air , the special troops of Alexander did wonders by their seven meters long spears . At dawn , Poseidon , himself appeared on the roof of the castle , he roared in anger :

- You , Egyptian , what do you want ?

- I want the missing diamond of the King of Egypt . I roared back .

- Don’t you know that it is inside the whale you were in ? He said gloating over my great surprise .

just then I remembered the words of the old man I met in the cave .

Chapter ( 16 )

After we spent two days inside the whale , really we enjoyed ourselves , and we passed a wonderful experience we didn't come across before . On the third day , we were blast off , out of the whale , and down again to the bottom of the sea . The Mermaid and Atlanta were happy . I was still puzzled , why did we get into the whale ? and why were we thrashed out again ? Atlanta suggested to go to Cleopatra , the queen of Egypt , to ask her to lend us some of her army to go to Poseidon to ask him to get the diamond back . The Mermaid approved the idea .

- Did you know her place ? I asked in surprise .

- Yes , I often visit her , we used to play together hide and seek when  we were young . And with the ball now . Don’t you know that the Egyptians were the first people who played the ball but with a stick - hockey-  . the English play something like it now.

- let’s go then now ,I said .

W went to Cleopatra’s palace , it was like  what we read in the Arabian’s Nights , in short, it was indescribable , with gold domes and alabaster walls and sliver doors, a lot of strange trees and big colorful flowers , more beautiful than the gardens of the French kings of the middle ages , how many fountains were there lovelier than the fountains in Rome or Germany . The guards supplied with fearful spears , and sharp swords , they were wearing beautiful helmets on their heads, stopped us .When they knew why we came , they let us go in the escort of some of them . We were permitted to be in the presence of Queen Cleopatra . Queen of Egypt . her beauty was a work of art  . She smiled to Atlanta , they kissed each other .

-You are more beautiful than life . You are too good to be true .I couldn't control myself. 

-Thank you for the compliment .

- He is Egyptian , he is a friend of mine , as a matter of fact , we want you to help us restore the diamond of the mermaid’s father , king of the Nile . said Atlanta .

-What do you want exactly ? let the mermaid speak .

-We want you to order your army to come with us to the place of Poseidon.

- I can give you two battalions and two squadrons with heavy machines .

- Thank you your majesty , I wanted to meet you long ago to ask you why you killed your brother , and why you burned the library of Alexandria. Though we built another new one in Alexandria again .

- Congratulations , but it wasn't me who burned it . It was Julius Caesar and it was an accident , as for killing my brother , I had to , he wanted to kill me first , so , it was self defense , besides , there must be only one king or a queen to rule the country . You know the Ottoman Caliphs had to kill the other brothers they scared the split and the unrest which might come out as a result , you know , also, the cause of the destruction of the Omayyad and the Abbasid , was the numerous brothers and sons who should rule .For instance, Haroun El Rashid nominated his three sons to rule,  one after another , they fought each other . L Likewise , in Ottoman time , the Caliphs; Slim the first , Abu El Yasid and Suleiman the Legislator had to kill their brothers when they were given the regime .

I saw in her eyes that blazing bright of genius, and that appeal of sexual attraction , as if she wanted to call me to her bed . I was sleeping in a vast single room , while Atlanta and the mermaid, each slept in a separate room . There were more than a hundred rooms in the palace . My room was near the room of the queen .

My room was well furnished with rich colored curtains and bright satin cushions . There were plenty of food and different kinds of juices and fruits . To my surprise, I heard a light knock at my door , Cleopatra herself came in with a white transparent night gown .

- I never  in my wildest dreams to have you in such an hour in my room , I said .

- I saw you desire me in your lavishing eyes . She answered .

- Who couldn't ?

- You are Egyptian , I’d like to atone for what I've done to your country .

I kissed her hand and her feet .

- You are more beautiful than Elizabeth Taylor herself .

- Who is Elizabeth Taylor ?

- She is a beautiful English actress that filmed your character .

Although Cleopatra was not my type , but nobody can stand before her . I excused Julius Caesar and Mark Anthony for loving Cleopatra , they became like slaves for her . They were right , because I want to be her slave now . She took my soul when I kissed her . I took her tongue into my mouth . I learned from Fathia that I should attack the woman , not to let the woman attack you . To be the hero ; the boldest you are , the winner of pleasure you get . She melted in my hands like butter , she was easily handled , easy in motion . now I know why most men don’t love the fat women . But , I’m different , because Cleopatra to me is like a snack , but Fathia or Leila are a chief meal . I slept with Cleopatra to reach saturation . I think , the idea of making love doesn't measure with how many times you sleep with your woman , but , the satisfaction of saturation you get .

- The Egyptians are great lovers . she said in agony .

I was on top of her , I leaned my hands on the silk sheets ,

while the lower part of me was working slowly and wonderfully .

- You never tried any Egyptian in your regime ?

- I was mistaken If I had known how clever they were , I’d have used some , but I was too busy .

- Who won , Caesar , or Anthony or me ?

- Caesar was good , Anthony was great , too , but to tell the truth , you are the best .

When she came to that part of speech , she reached the climax , she said unconsciously , the best , the best , the best .

- OK , I know .

After a while , she said :

- Shall we do another turn ?

- Don’t forget that tomorrow , we’ll wage a war against Poseidon .

- Don’t go tomorrow , the customs duty of the Arab hosting  three days .

- How did you know the customs of the Arabs ?

- My instructor told me that the true Arabian doesn't ask his guest about his name or why he came unless three days pass . Some Arabs in the desert were making a bonfire at night to show about their place . They were ready to host any stranger or a passer by . Are these characteristics still existed ?

- yes, generosity is the chief quality of the Arabs , besides , they have chivalry and gallantry . The Arabs in the middle ages taught the knights of Europe  – when they came in Crusade time - how to be a gentleman , how to be clean , how to wash themselves , how to eat , how to behave like a human being and how to respect women. You know the Arabs are Muslims , and the religion of Islam affected their beliefs , traditions,  customs and daily life.

- But , we see and hear , everywhere in the world , on TV , satellites, and internet that the Muslims and the Arabs are terrorists and savages, particularly , the Arabs .

- No , only few of Arabs are extremists and fundamentalists , who have diverted thoughts and ideas about Islam , but , Islam , tells you to treat people , all the people , regardless their religion , kindly.

- But , you Arabs destroyed the two world trade centers in New York.

- No, we didn't.

- Who did it then ?

- I don’t know  , because , this operation was so sophisticated that the Arabs can’t do it by themselves .

- Ben Laden and El Zawahri did it .

- No, Ben Laden and El Zawahri are liars , they claimed that they did it , but they are pedantic and phony .

- Why they said so ?

- They want  to be heroes , to surf the wave , but they are not so . Ben Laden was a product of America . after he finished his role ; getting  Russia out of Afghanistan – , America wanted to terminate him , or to make him a scarecrow , to scare the Arabs and the world in order that they can sell their weapons and to run the economic machines .

- Why did America occupy Iraq ?

- To get their oil  . I answered .

- No , I think the Americans wanted to terminate Saddam Hussein and to bring Iraq democracy .

- That what they say . As a matter of fact , the Americans are actors , they cheat the whole world .

- How ?

- After the collapse of the Soviet Union , they looked for another enemy , they looked for the weakest people , so , they found the Arabs , to be their victims , so that their civilization should set on motion .

By the effect of the shock of the suicide attack on New York and Washington, and the ecstasy of the military victory over Taliban and Al ”Qaeda”.

Islam is being exposed as religion and culture to blasphemous aggression from Writers and politicians belonging to the right conservatives in America  . Claims of changing the context of the educational and cultural message in Arab countries for the sake of ” Americanizing Islam”.After all  , the gang of violence which affiliated itself to Islam ,such as Al Qaeda and Jihad of El Zawahri do not represent Islam .So, we do not have the right to say that Islam is not against democracy and modernity. They are only a phenomenon in Islamic history .

The problem is that the masters of Orientalism and callers for the clash of civilizations, like Samuel Huntington , Francis Fokoyama, Bernard Lewis , and Daniel Paipse .

When they claim that Islam is not suitable for modernity and democracy, they denied that the West saw the clash between the church and the clergymen, from one part , modernity and democracy , from another part. They did not want to admit that religion is still existed in the western society; the queen of England is still the head of the church . The German churches are still collecting the taxes of the alms, the White House is still lighting the Christmas tree and president Bush used to consider, Jesus Christ his first philosopher .They denied that strict Islamic groups are the manufacture of the West .

Muslim Brothers appeared in 1928 under the British occupation to Egypt. El Mawdodi; the philosopher of violence and his Islamic faction appeared in Pakistan under the British colonization .Bin Laden himself was manufactured by the CIA; to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan. They provided him with money ,weapons and trained his disciples in camps.

The U.S is doing the role of terrorizing the state that is very dangerous not only for Iraq , nor the Arab world, but for the world security .The American troops failed to control Iraq .We can say that the beginning of the American occupation to Iraq was the start of damaging the Iraqi political society .The Iraqi army was released ,  the security system was crashed into pieces and the whole administrative system of the state was debris .What are the coalition troops doing for now ? , they do not war against regular Iraqi forces but they fight ghosts of the resistance.

These forces hit and run like fish in water .The coalition troops play the role of the police now .They assault houses without permission , looking for the terrorists. They frighten the families and arresting the men and maltreat the women and humiliate them, there are on the stage now ;..Iraqi factions who are doing the same humiliation against the American troops as a result of punishing them for the crimes they commit daily against the Iraqi people ;violating the simplest human rights . The resistance is attacking every day the Americans , killing and capturing them .

The capture of the American soldiers has a symbolic significance addressing the greatest troops in the world ;meaning that ”we can put your dignity in the mud however great your hi-tech weapons are ” At first ,the military American leader in Baghdad stated in a press interview ;showing his despair in overcoming violence or control or controlling Baghdad .He said to the CNN reporter ;while he was crying that he was sorry for the death of the young soldiers who were killed in Baghdad streets .

In fact ,America was beaten militarily in Iraq . Most of the American generals; those who are on duty and those who retired admitted this humiliating defeat . Even the American politicians themselves, whether they are democratic or Republicans confessed this defeat .On the other hand ,the hawks of the American Administration ,president Bush and his vice Dick ,on top of all , refused to admit this defeat, but his plan to send another 30/000 soldiers to Iraq to rescue the desperate situation, though he admitted an improvement in the security scene by then.

At the beginning of his first term ; president Bush innovated a new strategic creed ”the pre-empt war ”he meant the absolute right for the US alone ; to strike any state proving its intentions to beat the American power . There was an explanation for this strategic convert to replace the principle of containment policy which remained through all the years of the cold war with the Soviet Union .

Furthermore ; there was the classification of the countries ;to be good or evil which include North Korea, Iran and Iraq .The American administration innovated a new principle … contradicting with the covenants of the United Nations and menacing the world peace ; that is the right to change the dictatorial regimes in the world , when necessary if they were not satisfactory to US.

The application to this principle was the invasion of Iraq …,to topple its dictatorial regime which owns , as they claim …; comprehensive destructive weapons.

Here all the papers mixed between the forces of the Iraqi resistance which fight against the American occupation and the terrorist power which practices every day.

Sectarian terrorism against all factions of the Iraqi people .This demolished the popularity of Bush and led to incredibility concerning the American people .The political convert took place when the democratic party gained majority in congress elections; that put the American president in a critical situation . he had to menace using veto against the resolution of the congress not to allow an extra budget for war unless there was a promise to pull out the American troops from Iraq …though ; Bush and Dick can handle the congress very well .

The American people are watching the collapse of their officers and soldiers every day with no hope in any advance , the report of Bicker and Hamilton committee recommended to follow a new policy and to negotiate with Syria and Iran , block –headed ;the American president refused this committee and suggested to send more troops to Iraq . The latest reports proved that the members of the republican party policies are in great despair after the reduction of the support rates of the party .

They told him simply he lost the war in Iraq ,but he keeps on saying in every occasion that there is an improving security in Iraq .The American president was a lame duck . There was a political discussion about this crisis and if there was a constitutional method enabling them to let him resign before finishing his second term since his policy did harm to the national security and destroyed the interests of the American people.The White House was sad and angry because the ex-president Carter criticized Bush bitterly ; describing him as the worst in the history of the world .

 Carter described Tony Blair as a blind obedient to Bush .—now Blair is out of office –Anyway ,the American audience believed that Carter was as bad as Bush , but Carter humiliated the American dignity when he failed in dealing with the case of the hostages of the American embassy in Tehran which led to his failure in a second term whereas Bush caused the American credibility to be lost when he denied the clear truth in Iraq .

Bush said to the author of the new book ” Bush; warrior ” pop Woodward ; he will take the chance to achieve great goals , and no greater goal than achieving the peace world .All evidences show that he is farther than achieving any goals of peace .

Perhaps the basic error in Bush’s thoughts and his hawk assistants was that he wanted to get into peace from the door of war .To impose security by military force and to put the whole world in an iron cage pulling it for the service of the American interests ,considering that ,  the most important end for the world peace America did not succeed in Afghanistan nor in the middle east nor in Iraq . All the success was devoted to stimulating terror to the whole world from the ghosts of ”Qaeda and Ben Laden ”. In fact ,America is chasing imaginary enemies, chasing ghosts .

 America knows the hidden place of Ben ,they are protecting him —to gain immensely goals from that situation ; to set the entire world on fear of terrorism ,to win the sympathy of all the human beings .

Why are the Americans silent about Ben Laden now ? to create an imaginary scarecrow to frighten as much countries as they could .The Americans feel that they are declining , they have economical problems, the estates investments are losing , the other countries ,especially Japan, Russia and western Europe can do without America now .

Why did the Americans not get rid of Saddam Hussein from the very beginning ? they could have finished him off if they had wanted,  but they left him to frighten the Gulf countries .Saddam was no longer useful to the Americans ; he finished his role .The existence of the inspectors for monitoring the chemical or atomic weapons in Iraq was only an episode in the American drama acted on the stage of the whole world ;

to make up for their economical faults ; they hide behind the powerful military show ,to feel that they are the only unilateral power .America is now like the tragic hero in Shakespeare’s tragedies ….who , before falling, commits some errors.

That is why , the role of Ben Laden is still needed .When they completed their plans ; occupying some parts of the world ,uprooting the pillars of other countries , reshaping the democracy of other weak countries , controlling the supplies of oil over most of the possible producing oil countries .Then , only , they will think of murdering Ben Laden .America did not want the mission of the international inspectors mission in Iraq to be successful .America was taking the chance to make this mission a fiasco to light up the situation for war .

Bush hurried to state that shooting fire ; from Iraq part ; over the American and British military planes ” a violation to the resolution of the security council ”,meaning ,exactly – in the areas of no-fly —; there is no need for these teams of monitoring to keep on their task or even to start it .

Therefore, the Americans had to go back to security council so that they could profit from this violation , a reason to wage war against Iraq ,   then , after that against ” the axis of evil countries ” or against the radicalists whatever they are . In other words , American interpretation of any Iraqi obstacle to the inspection process will most likely be a reason to pull the trigger .The US is geared to put its troops and personnel from other allies in harm’s way and risk igniting a new war in an already volatile region , in the name of blunting the threat of Baghdad’s purported weapons of mass destruction.

Still, to lend credence to its anti-weaponry drive , the US must be impartial .

Many inside the Middle East and beyond firmly believe that sanctions devastated Iraq do not pose an immediate threat to regional and global security . Israel’s resolve to continue to be law by itself is the real threat .

 The Jewish state has been developing a lethal military program , which continue to be a closely guarded secret . Over the years , the Jewish state has defiantly balked at any international bid to open its suspected nuclear facilities to inspection .Israel continue to practice nuclear blackmail against its neighbors .This American inaction is fueling misgiving in the area ;that disarmament of Iraq is the real motive for Washington’s bellicosity .

What is good for one is good for the other .What applies for Iraq must be applied to any other country. There is no good reason why the former is forced to submit to an unconditional arms inspection while the latter continue to receive pats on the back’s .

This inconsistency engenders more anti – American feelings into question Washington’s real intentions and credibility .The biggest responsibility for this is shouldered by the US; because of its passive stand towards world peace and its support of the Israeli rulers to continue with their destructive aggressive policies ,

which aim to occupy the Arab and Palestinian territories .

The September 11 events have offered the ( hawks ) at the American administration a great opportunity to raise tension in different parts of the world and dominate US foreign policy , while the American president , as the American media notes , seems helpless . This threatening policy seems to have achieved success for the extremist officials in the US administration . But it has caused hatred amongst people throughout the world even those from the allied countries have expressed their worries about American arrogance and selfishness , that will lead the world to disaster

Since the September attacks , the Arabs , the Muslims and their messenger are exposed to biased media campaign in CNN for instance , on the weekly program ” 60 minutes” the interviewer hosted seven thinkers among one of them was the priest

Jerry Floil , one of the leaders of Christian American coalition , he said ” he thinks that

Muhammad the prophet is a terrorist and he is a man of war not a man of peace ” anyway , there is a fact about the terrorist . He is the one that attacks people, destroying their houses besieging them and confiscating their earns and taking violently their properties. The terrorist is the conceited one who doesn't accept advice . He who hates justice , obsessed by the devil and forgot any virtue and spreading any vice .

Muhammad ; the messenger ” peace and prayers be upon him ” was not from his birth till he met his God ; peace was his morals , filtered in his soul , his behavior and in his treatments with other people . Before he was a prophet , he was titled the ‘ honest ‘ sincere ‘ Every one loved him for the purity of his soul and for his care to spread love , intimacy and peace .

When he was a prophet, he stayed 13 years in Mecca , inviting people to worship Allah ; the ONE , to be bestowed with good manners and to spread the spirit of peace .

He was shown from his enemies a lot of harm , oppression , boycott and bargaining .In spite of all that he didn't raise up a sword or a spear in the face of the oppressors. He met their harm patiently and friendly and praying for them , he said : ” I beseech you God to direct my folk to the right because they don’t know ” Having immigrated to al Medina , and after building his new- born state , his motto was to call for Islam and security .All his conquests were for self- defense . ‘ Badr conquest ‘ where he was victorious over his enemies was for the victory of the weak of Muslims who couldn’t migrate and who were assaulted by the disbelievers .

‘ Ohod conquest’ , the disbelievers came themselves to Medina suburbs to fight the Muslims who were obliged to defend themselves and money . El ‘Ahzab conquest’, the disbelievers surrounded and besieged Al Medina with their allies . the prophet had to, defend ; together , with his friends ; their souls and rights . ‘Mecca conquest’ was motivated by standing side by side with the oppressed who were attacked by the aggressors .

 However , he was careful to stop shedding blood of his enemies . He said to them :

” go you are free ” he forgave them all . He said ” peace from Islam ” . ” spread peace” among you ”. ” Don’t hope to meet the enemies and ask Allah to be safe ” .

One of his prayers ” I beseech you PEACE ;( one of Allah’ name )and peace from you , and greet us with peace ” Every wise man can realize that all Muhammad’s life was based on co- operation and piety not on vice and aggression .

On the other hand , the administration of president Bush claimed that it fights against extremism and terrorism and that the international coalition led by this administration is to eradicate the ‘ axis of evil ‘ and the power which embraces terrorism . But, over time , we discover the volume of failure of the efforts of this administration . It became its need to cover this failure by means of searching about new enemies . To accuse Bin Laden isn't enough , nor even to accuse Taliban and Al ‘ Qaeda ‘ nor Iraq or Iran or  North Korea.

It appeared the necessity of expanding the circle of hostility to include an international religion like Islam with its followers around the whole world .

It is difficult now to accept the pretext repeated by president Bush more than once after the events of September when he called for forgiveness and not abusing Islam and its followers around the world .; whereas his administration is full of scores of close councilors and advisers , their mission is to blow up the fire of hostility against Islam They give , in public statements far from tolerance and coherence between the other cultures and religion . whether it is maneuvering or distributing the roles – in the form of defending Islam.
 . The mask was cleared away from faces and groups of hawks posting in the position of making resolutions in the white house and the ministry of defense . In a report in ‘ Washington Post ‘appeared a statement to Kenneth Ulman from Pentagon , announced that it is difficult to describe Islam as a religion of peace —– and Muhammad but a fighter , not advocator of peace like Christ .

 Likewise , in an article written by Eliot Cohen in ‘ Wall street Journal ‘ ” our real enemy is not terrorism but the extremist Islam , and it is a religion full of violence “. Another example is Powell Weirsch in the White House , he emphasized that what worries him most is that Bush’s administration is carrying all the time to assure that Islam is a religion of peace like Judaism and Christianity .

No doubt that these extremist hawks in the heart of the American administration are leading the world to cultural and civilizational conflict between the other religions and other people and ditching the hiatus of hatred between America and the Arabs and the Islamic peoples . Besides , giving Ben Laden the chance to carry out his goals in stimulating the hostility against America and the west . The fact that peace is one of the origin of the doctrine of Islam . The word Islam is taken from the material of peace .Islam and peace stand side by side to provide security and assurance to all mankind that belong to one father and one mother .

Another fact is that all the religions ordered people to respect , and to love all the prophets , besides to believe in all the prophets . After all that when the priest Jerry Floil or others when they say that ‘ Moses gave the paragon , and the Christ called for peace , but Muhammad called for the opposite ‘. We can not differentiate between the messengers in love and respect . If someone does that , then ,  his creed is deteriorated and he ignored the clear facts about the heavenly legislations .

In other words , there is no confidence between the Islamic world and the west .Two decades ago , Islamic phobia or Islamic terrorism and the hatred of Muslims spread throughout America and Europe .Mass media contributed intentionally in blazing the fear feelings on the part of the westerns that the greatest danger is Islam and the Muslims . They tried to convince the whole world that there was a striking contradiction between their civilization and that of Islam which can not cope with the other religions and the other cultures . The machine of the western Media depicted Islam as a rigid religion and it is the symbol of disgracing the sacred Christian places and it looks like the Nazi which does not accept the others . Besides , it treats the woman cruelly .

A member in the consultative office to president Bush , called Eliot Cohen wrote in Wall street Journal that the Islamic enemy has an ideology which can be obtained by reading a book about Hitler or Stalin or Mao Tsi Tung . The propagation of the theory of Samuel Huntington about the clash or the collision between the western civilization and the Islamic one ; has been renewed again .

 He admitted that there is hostility between Islam and Christianity . The paintings of the ‘ caricature in Europe and America’ newspapers ; picturing the Muslims as evil ugly people with hooked noses , very fat people only yearning for women . They depicted the pray callers on the minerates announcing the smash of the stocks instead of calling of prayers . When Prince Charles of Britain talked properly about Islam and the Muslims he was called ironically ” Ayat Allah Charles ” .

The French TV announced recently that a French girl called Mary , 23 years old and had a baby six month old , claimed that 6 young men , three were Moroccan and three were Africans raped her in the underground metro after seizing her bag . All the French mass media believed the lie of the girl whose mother confessed that her daughter was psychologically ill and she deserved treatment and she lied before- she had been raped by other people .

Furthermore , the British newspaper ” Today “on its first paper , after the explosion of ‘ Oklahoma ‘ a heartrending photo , for a fireman holding a dead child under the wreckage , ‘ by the name of Islam ‘ that what was written under the picture , nevertheless , the executors of the operation were not Muslims .

We can’t forget the croissant- shaped pies we eat now was invented by the people of the city of Vienna ; the capital of the empire of Austria ; after the elimination of the Ottoman siege ; the fear of defeat and collapse of the city and its people under the thumb of the Turkish – that was on the beginning of the sixteen century . They chose the crescent as a symbol of the Turks ; which was in the middle of their flag . when they were celebrating their victory .

Over the Turkish armies , they didn't find a better way than eating the crescent- styled pies ; gloating over the Islamic and the Turkish motto.

It was known that Islam was born Arabian , yet the Europeans , the Ottoman conquest , gave it a Turkish face .  The second significance was that they named the Turkish after the Turkey , whenever they slay and eat one of these turkeys , they imagined they were slaying and eating Turkey .

The gorgeous Cathedral found in the core of Vienna city , there were paintings on the walls depicting the Ottoman Caliph as a dog . They took away from the Muslim emperor his humanity and turned him into a dog. .Those  were the consequences of the panic and horror from Islam and Muslims as a result of wars lasted for more than one thousand years , where the blood was shed heavily and there were tremendous sabotage whether they were from the side of the Islamic and Turkish troops or from the Crusade campaigns .

When the Crusaders put hands on Jerusalem in 1099, they burned down the Jews till death ; meanwhile the Muslims showed formidable tolerance with the peoples of other religions .They forgot all when they entered the city victoriously ninety years later .

 This contrast hurt the feelings of a lot of European thinkers and leaders . Many defaults were busted in the European character ; comparing with the character of the Muslim leader ” Salah El Din ” who treated his captures , presided by the leader Richard the ‘ Heart of Lion ‘ kindly , away from revenge , but to  respect  their humanity . This picture contracted with that one which was drawn to them as barbarians , savages without any religion . Besides , the Crusaders found out that the Muslims were more progressive in the natural science ; they were more generous and sublime .

On their way to Levant ( Damascus ) and the region of the east of Mediterranean during passing the city of Constantinople in 1205 , the Crusaders behaved ruthlessly and brutally with the citizens of the city .  They assaulted the city and stole their treasures and fortunes after massacring a lot of people ,; only because the Crusaders were Catholic and the people of the city were Orthodox . This left a great rift in the European conscience lasted for a long time . After the victory of the Spanish over the Islamic country in 1492,. they didn't respect the agreements and acts they made with the Muslims .

Before their departure, on the contrary , the Spanish waged bloody purification campaigns against the Muslims and the Jews who had no choice to stay in the peninsula but to desert their religion and embrace Christianity , this what the Muslims didn't do in the territories they opened . Dramatically , instead of the result of this ; to do the correction of the picture of the Muslims , unfortunately the hostile feelings doubled bitterly . As if the European mentality had nothing to do but to go further .

Over time , the power of the western world increased politically , economically , and militarily .their need to new markets and raw materials emerged, the age of colonization appeared .The movement of imperialism was activated and most of the Arab and Muslim countries were occupied . Did this lead to convert the route of hatred and hostile feeling from the Muslims and Islam ?. This change could have never been taken place .

 Still the attitude of the western world sympathetic and surprising from men like Salman Rushdie and woman like Tesslima Nessreen. Rushdie attacked Islam and the prophet Muhammad in his novel . Tesslima did the same thing .

On the other hand , the German orientlist and thinker Ann Mary Sheimel, on trying to refer to the novel of Rushdie , which hurt the feelings of millions of Muslims, she was exposed to a fierce campaign of criticism . It is clear that ; it isn't’t correct that the Muslims hate the western world and America without no reasons .The Muslims in all their countries started to deal with America welcomingly and astonishingly in the same time .

They expected great aspirations in co- operation with them to serve both sides .The Arab Muslims provided them with economical , military cultural and political opportunities .They were very generous in granting privileges of oil to the American companies . they accepted to have American military bases built in their countries .

They deposed their assets and savings in the American banks .Moreover , they sent their sons to educate in America , they shared their enmity to communism and abhorred the Soviet Union . To their disappointment , the American leaders let them down in the conferences of reconciliation held after the 2nd world war , when they asked their help to get their independence.

Soon , they found out that ,all the American goal was to substitute England and France and to submit their countries to the new power . In fact the Muslim countries are able to resist to stand against the new imperialism . The numbers of the cultivated people spread positively in their countries .

 There are tremendous potentials for the economical co – operation among them , and various materialistic resources ,besides , the great amounts of fortunes , together with the trained manpower technologically. All this can be invested for the good of the Islamic world. The Islamic market extents to 1.3 billion peoples which give a chance to negotiate powerfully between the commercial partners . The role of oil is essential to defend the interests of the Muslim countries if it is used properly . No doubt that the countries of the middle east , in addition to Indonesia , Nigeria and the Islamic republics which  have been struck out after the collapse of the Soviet ; have fabulous reserves of oil .

No wonder , Islam restored its gorgeous positions in the countries which believe in Islam . During the fierce western assault to get the Muslims out of history and to minimize their role . The Muslims had nothing to do but to stick to religion searching for a solution to their misfortune and to provide them with faith and patience to endure it . The restoration of the genuine position of Islam was not just a reaction to this cruel attack on Islamic countries .

Islam , in a short period of time was able to set up a human civilization which was longer than any civilization in history . Islam carried out progress in all fields . Islam became the religion of the country it opened ,through addressing the mind and its convincing teachings .

 Islam and the Islamic civilization supplied the world with thoughts and sciences on which the modern civilizations based . Islam with its followers which is about one fifth of the population of the Earth , its economical riches , its strategical position , its culture and civilization ; began to play a promoting role in forming a life and systems which are fundamental part of humanity , there must be different experiences differ from what others provide especially after the collapse of the socialist model and the repeated periodical crisis of capitalism .

As a matter of fact , there must be a way to gap the bridge of confidence between the west and the east . To tell the truth, there are some amendments , reform or reshuffling in the Arab world after the events of 11 – 9 – 2001 . No doubt that this 21st century will pay due attention to this global event which will turn the balances especially after the American conquest to Iraq on the pretext of possessing destructive massive weapons, representing great danger on the American security and the western one .

The importance of the economical , cultural , social , and political reform emerged on the surface in the Arab world particularly and in the Islamic world as a whole , may be the initiative of the ‘ greater middle east’ was the manifestation of this – exposed by the united states on the summit of the great 8th ,  so as to be approved and supported and to be carried out.

This cultural American language is concerned with the problem of terrorism which dared to attack the symbol of the American power at home for the first time in its history  . The American strategic thinkers pose vital question , what are the reasons lurking behind terrorism ?

 The answer was the extremist thought prevailing in some Arab countries , particularly in the last decades was the reason of joining thousands of youth to the extremists .This extremism was in its turn the output of the blockage of the channels of democratic expressions and the tight bonds of political participation in taking decisions in both the Arab and the Islamic countries as a result of sovereignty of the dominating ruling systems which based on the political submission to the opposers ,  in addition to the domination of the political ruling bodies on the sources of fortunes and economical resources of the country , besides , the spread of corruption and poverty .

When the American strategic thought reached this point to the cultural analysis to this phenomenon of extremism .The logical consequence was the necessity of imposing the political reform on these Arab and Islamic dominating countries .

 This can be done through imposing democracy whenever following various methods , and consolidating the civil societies with its different establishments like ; parties , volunteering Societies , syndicates , associations and other things .

 Not only that , but the plans of the suggesting reform went further to the importance of the social , cultural and economical reform . the obligation of the renewal of the religious speeches to eradicate the extremist Islamic trends have been taken into consideration . confronting these tumultuous reactions took place from the par t of Arab governments . They congregationally refused the reform to come from abroad .

 Yet some governments expressed their wish to dialogue with the united states about the reform and their readiness to accept support on condition that to be gradually . However , it is unnecessary for the political Arab government to push the pretext of their private legacy in front of the demands of the American reform . In fact , the outcome of the controversy which took place between the Arab intellectuals all the last decades long , around the case of democracy led to the admission that the measures and values of the western democracy are worthy of being practical in our countries .

The controversies between the consultation and democracy led to a positive result , that western democracy implied the principle of the Islamic consultation . the principle of sovereignty circulation , performing disinterested periodical election on the level of the presidents of the republic .

The representative parliaments and municipal councils all these are values of political democracy respect the religions , freedom of speeches, expression, freedom of opinions , the ruling of law and respect the human rights . There is no chance for the Arab governments to maneuver or to delay this political reform .

Anyway , it is an important matter to do due care for graduation of reforming . This pretext can be of great importance only for the Arab countries which didn't witness the foundation of the modern constitution , the separation between authorities and the domination of law , the existence of judicial systems, political parties , laboring syndicates and volunteering societies , perhaps Saudi Arabia is one of those countries which needs graduation in applying political reform . That doesn't mean to delay political reform forever , but it needs a schedule to be applied gradually in public . This pretext of graduation can’t be applied on the Arab countries which completed the foundations of the modern states like Egypt , Syria , Tunisia , and Morocco .
